Terri Korthals reports that Reno was WD and BOS for 1 point at the Saginaw KC show recently (and RWD the day before). Reno now has 14 points, including both majors, and needs 1 point to finish his CH.
Kathy Hannah ’s Ryan passed his TDX at the Cardigan National. Ryan was the only Cardigan entered in the tracking test and the only dog to pass. He won a special CWCCA award for passing his TD and TDX in one year. Ryan also earned an OAP leg and placed 4th in his breed class.
Glenna Logan ’s Will went to his first WP trials on rails and earned 10 points each day toward the 100 points needed for his WPCH by pulling 1945 lbs.

Pam Moore proudly reports that Alex swept the UKC shows in Belleville by going BOB at both shows, Group 1 at both shows, and Best In Show at both shows.
Deb Huff ’s young Topo earned his AKC TD title at the Marshbanks Golden Retriever Club test with a blistering time of 3 minutes.
Shirley Robertson ’s Compay earned his VST title at our club’s VST test at MSU. Compay followed that up with an OA leg (and 3rd place finish) and OAJ leg at the Rhodesian Ridgeback Specialty Agility Trial.
Lori Sargent went to the German Wirehaired Pointer Specialty Show in IL, where her 7-month-old girl got Reserve to a 5-point major. Her other girl, Flair , won the Bred-by-Exhibitor class. At the Genesee Co. KC show, Brennen got a 4-point major from the 6-9 month puppy class and Brady earned his 2nd RN leg with a score of 98 (for 1st place). This past weekend, both Brennen and Duncan earned majors from the 6-9 month puppy class – Brennen ’s 2nd and Duncan ’s 1st.
Glenna Logan ’s Will earned his UKC Police Dog 1 title at the UKC SDA trial in St. Johns. Will is the first Groenendael to earn this title.
From the OTC list – no name given: On Friday at the GKC Show in Flint my German Shorthaired Pointer Lock N Load Liam earned his Rally Novice title with a first place finish and a score of 99.
From the OTC list – no last name: Besides being undeafted in breed competiton, The Toller is a smart dog too. He finished his Rally Novice title this weekend with another first place and a score of 96. He is now UCH Honeyrun's River Ripper CGC RN . Chris

Lori Sargent ’s Flair recently qualified for her 5th and final leg to finish her Senior Hunter title. Her young boy, Duncan , qualified for his 2nd and 3rd Junior Hunter legs. At the UKC Premier, Brady was Reserve in the Champion class.
Jenny Zablotny has had a long (and fun!) run of eight weekends in a row at dog shows. Bobber finished his Rally Excellent title, with 1st, 3rd and 4th placements. Diver finished his Rally Novice title with 2 3rd placements. Robbie was BOB both days in Mt. Pleasant with a G3 on Sun. In Traverse City, Diver was BOB both days with a G2 on Sat. Robbie got the G1 on Sun.
Terri Korthals went to the UKC Premier where Ice was 1st in Veteran Sweeps 7-9 yrs. at the Sheltie Specialty and Troi was 1st in Veteran Sweeps 9+ yrs. Ice then went on to win Best in Veteran Sweeps with Troi as Runner Up to Best. Ice finished up by winning the Grand Champion class and BOB at the Specialty. Very cool for a mother/daughter duo. Reno the Griff won BOB on Sun.
Karen Spiess also went to the UKC Premier where Prada went BOB on Sat. (which finished her Grand Championship – the breed’s FIRST) with Della taking Reserve. Prada also earned a Rally Novice leg with a score of 90.
Glenna Logan ’s Will competed in Weight Pull at the UKC Premier. On Sat., he pulled 1890 lbs. to earn 15 more points toward his WPCH. On Sun., he again earned 15 more points toward his WPCH, but kept pulling to outlast all but 2 of the pit bulls in his weight class. He topped out at 2450 lbs. In 2 weekends, Will has earned 50 of the 100 points needed for his WPCH.

Karen Spiess and Terri Korthals went to a Sporting Dog Judges Education Fun Match with several Grifs between them. The judges were impressed with the number of Grifs and the quality. Not only were the judges able to see the dogs “hands-on”, they were also able to see the Grifs doing what they were bred to do with birds.

Terri Korthals and Reno earned their first CD leg with a score of 195 and 3rd place at the OTCGL Aug. obedience trial.
Glenna Logan ’s Will recently aced a CGC test (for the 2nd time) and a TDI test. Will also participated in 2 weight-pull trials in Athens, TN as the only non-bully breed in the trials. He placed 4th in his weight class each day -- no small feat when competing against bullys. His highest pulled weight was 3,931 lbs.

Karen Spiess and her crew went to Marquette where Prada was BOB all 3 days, Ralf won the Veterans Class at the age of 11, and Toupee was WD.
Shirley Robertson , along with Carlos and Compay , went to CKC agility trials in Long Sault, Canada. Compay aced 2 Novice Standard runs and 3 Novice Jumpers runs for 5 1st place finishes and a new Jumpers title. Not to be outdone, Carlos turned in 4 great Novice Standard runs for a new Standard title. Then it was back to Canada for tracking in Sudbury with Compay , Carlos and Wallace . Wallace has a new Canadian TD and Carlos has a new Canadian TDX!
Lori Sargent ’s Brady finished his Rally Novice title with a 3rd place.
Irene Brett and Panda passed the Canadian Urban Tracking test in London, Ontario.
Glenna Logan ’s Will passed the ATTS Temperament Test in Indiana on Labor Day weekend. At each station, his reaction could not have been better and he put on quite a show in response to the Threatening Stranger. Will also finished his UKC Weight Pull Championship, won his weight class both days, and also won Highest Percentage of Body Weight Pulled for his division both days at the Leslie, MI weight pull trials (on wheels).
